A Look Behind the Scenes at Haus UTO
Last Saturday, as part of Open House Zurich, we were pleased to welcome numerous visitors to Haus UTO. We were delighted by the great interest shown in the building’s history, its renovation, and the addition of new floors.
Haus UTO exemplifies our understanding of Clever Architecture: preserving the existing structure with as little intervention as possible and maintaining a place’s identity.
Together with our project manager Julia Mikolaizak and Rebecca Konnertz from Kodarch, we were able to provide insights into the project and demonstrate how we approached the existing structure—from the renovation and preservation of historic elements to the new addition and the conversion of the former movie theater into a play café.
A big thank you to Julia and Rebecca for the fascinating tours, and to Open House Zurich for the opportunity to share this special building with so many people. And, of course, to everyone who stopped by and enriched the day with their questions and interest.
