National Future Day at Our Office
Last week, six curious schoolchildren spent a day learning how rooms are created.
The morning was all about architecture. We showed them how an initial idea develops into a project, how we work with ArchiCAD and how a planning process is structured.
The afternoon was devoted to interior design. The participants worked on a small design task and learned how room structure, choice of materials and lighting interact to create a harmonious concept and how this is later visualised in a 3D model.
We also visited the construction site of a project nearing completion. There, we demonstrated how planning becomes a built reality and the many decisions that go into creating a functional space.
We were delighted to give these young people an insight into our everyday working lives and hope that we were able to inspire them to pursue a future in our industry.
