With Aleksandra Shymanskaya, OOS has a strong junior architect in the team. She is eagerly looking forward to the new challenges and developments in architecture.
After completing her bachelor’s degree in Warsaw, the native of Belarus moved to Berlin, where she completed her MSc in Architectural Typology. There she specialised in the transformation of existing buildings into new structures, functions and uses and developed new typologies for the demands of today’s world. Her approach is always focussed on potential and resources. The emotional experience of a space is also of great importance to her. She has acquired practical knowledge in various professional positions. For Aleksandra, Zurich is the ‘Silicon Valley of architecture’, which is why she finally came to OOS via an exchange programme at ETH.
