Last Friday, Schiffbauplatz and the Schiffbau tram stop underwent a visible transformation: a nursery of 32 trees has turned a grey expanse into a vibrant, green urban space – a place to linger, meet and take a deep breath.

Inspired by the ‘Grünes Gastspiel’ on Paradeplatz and Bahnhofstrasse, Christoph Kellenberger was prompted to adapt this concept for Schiffbauplatz. From this, Daniel Hunziker, in collaboration with the City of Zurich, developed the current green installation.

We celebrated the opening with a drinks reception. Now we enjoy the view of the green landscape from our office.
