BIM – Hype or Real Change?
Ten years ago, BIM was seen as the promise of more efficient and collaborative design and planning processes. The Hochparterre article ‘Where have you BIM?’ takes stock of the situation so far – with contributions from our Head of R&D and BIM Manager Tim Hildenbrand-Severo.
While the number of projects planned with BIM has levelled off at around a quarter due to various hurdles in the industry, we use it in all our projects. And the potential has not yet been fully exploited.
This is also evident in sustainability issues. Thanks to our specially developed method, we can determine the CO2 emissions of grey energy and operating energy directly from the models with little effort and provide our clients with targeted advice.
The rapid development of digital planning goes hand in hand with comprehensive change management and a willingness to change.
