2000
“Endlich geht es loooo(oos)”! With this attitude, the architecture office OOS was founded shortly before the end of the year on 21st December.
2001
While others celebrate the pre-Christmas season, we celebrate ourselves. One year after the foundation, the annual OOS Office Party is born and this tradition still exists today.
2002
Two years after its foundation, the first building is completed: the House Schudel, a modern monolith as a homage to the landscape of Feldis.
2002
In the same year we receive the first award, the Swiss Art Award, for the installation Enter OOS [S]pace at Art Basel.
2003
The first website of OOS goes live. (In the meantime there is already a second, third, …)
2008
We leave our Langstrasse location and take up quarters in the brick building at Hardstrasse 245, right next to the Schiffbau Square.
2009
Celebrating is as much a part of us as the Exil. As founding members of the Club, located just one floor below the office, we are also responsible for its design.
2011
We have been cutting edge since the very beginning. Due to the early application of BIM, we are still considered pioneers in Switzerland. The Casa Brasil III Itacaré in Bahia is the first project to be built using the BIM method.
2013
There needs to be an “Eiffel Tower for Zurich”. This initiation of Maag Halle gives rise to 66 ideas, one of which is ours: an accessible empty space in the form of a crater in the middle of Lake Zurich.
2014
A long-standing collaboration with the Kühne Real Estate takes its course. OOS becomes the Architect of the Medicine Campus Davos and helps shape the entire area, with an ongoing project spanning many years.
2015
Our new focus is “Corporate Architecture”. Equipped with this core competence, the collaboration with Novartis begins.
2016
“Reflections” is the name of the Swiss Pavilion with which we won the competition for Expo 2020 Dubai UAE.
2020
One of Switzerland’s first zero-energy company buildings is built in Murten for Sonova Communications AG.
2020
More than 120 employees and over 400 projects later, we reach the 20th anniversary. More than 520 reasons to celebrate.
2021
Six years after the project was awarded and one year later than planned, Expo 2020 Dubai UAE comes to fruition and with it the “Reflections” Swiss Pavilion.
2022
A new philosophy has taken hold. We are totally committed to the vision of Clever Cities, Clever Architecture and Clever Interiors.
Today
Even after many years, we are still in the mood for change and to surprise both others and ourselves.
